After Apple released its last major update for the iPhone and iPad in the form of iOS 15.4 and iPados 15.4 three weeks ago, many users report degraded battery performance on their cellular devices. As a result, Apple must release temporary updates labeled iOS 15.4.1 (and iPados 15.4.1) a week ago to fix the problem. Less than a week later, the company has begun to justify the beta from the next main iOS update to the developer in the form of iOS 15.5 and iPados 15.5 beta.
Although Apple’s official release note does not talk about the addition of the main features for iOS with 15.5 and vice versa touting this to be an additional update with some bug fixes, some interesting new additions are worth mentioning. Also, this is a significant update as far as Apple – given that iOS 15.5 is likely to be the last big update for iOS 15 before Apple moves to iOS 16 later this year. Below are some of the more important changes this latest beta brings to the table.
What to expect from iOS 15.5
According to Macrumor, there is an excellent opportunity Apple can finally introduce the “Apple Classical” application that is widely reported with iOS 15.5. For those who are unconscious, this is an independent music application that will equip Apple music, but will be dedicated to classical music lovers. Apple Classical tends to be based on primephonic – music streaming services dedicated to classical music – which was acquired by Apple last year.
Since then, a reference to “Apple Classical” has appeared several times now in the company code, with the appearance of the first name in the Android beta release from Apple Music. Now, people in Macrumor have seen the same code in iOS 15.5 beta, showing this application is likely to be ready for the prime time. There is still a good chance, Apple can delay the release of Apple Classical to coincide with the release of iOS 16.
iOS 15.5 also tends to bring mild updates to pay Apple in the form of the “send” and “accept” button in the cash section. For people who face problems with universal control features with MacOS 12.3 and iPados 15.4, Apple suggests they update all their universal control devices to new betas. Another possible update to iOS 15.5 will be rebranding from the name iTunes pass to “Apple Balance.”New release iOS 15.5 beta 1 can be downloaded and installed through simple over-the-water updates.
